“I’ve been to a few salon’s on Newbury St. in Boston, searching for that perfect stylist. I’m so happy to say that I finally found her in Priscilla! I have extremely thick, difficult hair that needs to be layered and thinned out in a certain way. The other stylists I’ve been to did an okay job, but Priscilla knew exactly what I wanted, before I even had to tell her. The color she did was perfect, and my haircut was the best ever. I call this review, "An ode to Priscilla": This awesome stylist cut my hair a couple of weeks ago and it still looks fab. I took in a couple of pics and she was able to combine the bangs and top layers from one and the length from the other to make a really well-suited-for-me style. And the best part is that she showed me how to style it myself, so now I actually know how to blow dry it out instead of frantically waving my hairdryer around my head and trusting my flat iron (or curling iron) to do the rest. Priscilla is the greatest! She has been my hair stylist for about three years now and no one can touch her skills. Priscilla has been keeping me beautiful and has become a wonderful friend too over the years. First off, Priscilla does the most amazing highlights. I feel that my hair should reflect my attitude, and like most of us, my attitude changes weekly. One week I want lighter, the next I want darker. No matter what I come up with in my head, Priscilla can always deliver it exactly the way I want. I recently held a benefit at the Taj Boston Hotel (the old Ritz never looked so beautiful!) and Priscilla did my hair and all my friends' hair before the big event. Not only did we all look and feel stunning, but because I referred my friends to her, I received complementary manicures and pedicures. After reading all the great reviews about Priscilla and searching her internet site, I reserved time for a foil and a cut. I'm blond and my hair is quite thick. She was as awesome as I expected her to be, based on the reviews. She listened to me, asked questions to be sure what I wanted, had precise opinions, and great knowledge on how to achieve what was planned. I ended up leaving the salon almost 4 hours later feeling great! She really knows how to handle blond hair, the color is the best I've ever had. The cut is also good. I'm definitely going back!

I have been going to Avanti for a while and have had the owner, Alex, cut and color my hair. Alex is so easy going, low ego -- no one would guess he is the owner of the salon! Priscilla is the BEST!

I went to see Priscilla at Avanti Salon after reading some great reviews of her on Yelp. Everything about her skills and her ability to listen was true. My hair was a mess. Priscilla highlighted, low-lighted and glazed my hair, and it came out exactly as I wanted it to. I looked and felt great when I left the salon. She also gave me a great deal for parking. Priscilla changed my life for good! After years of going to a colorist in a well-to-do suburb who repeatedly denied that my hair had turned orange, Priscilla took one glance and kindly stated (unprompted) "I can help take out the orange in your hair and restore your beautiful blond locks".
